What is Pet Urgent Care?

Pet urgent care provides immediate medical attention to animals when they experience sudden illnesses or injuries that aren't life-threatening but still need quick treatment. Just like human urgent care, it’s there for your pet when they can't wait for a regular vet appointment but don't need emergency surgery. Conditions like minor wounds, vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden lameness are examples of when you might bring your pet to urgent care.

When Should You Bring Your Pet to Urgent Care?

It can be hard to know when your pet needs urgent care. If your pet seems uncomfortable, shows changes in behavior, or has symptoms like coughing, mild pain, or frequent vomiting, it’s a good idea to visit an urgent care clinic. For issues like deep cuts, trouble breathing, or broken bones, you should go straight to an emergency vet instead.

What to Expect at a Pet Urgent Care Clinic

At our animal hospital, the staff will quickly assess your pet’s condition and provide treatment. This might include things like bandaging wounds, giving fluids for dehydration, or prescribing medication to help with pain or infection. The goal is to make sure your pet feels better as soon as possible, and they may refer you to a specialist or your regular vet for follow-up care.
